MYUNGHUHN YI, President and CEO, Director

Mr. Yi become President and CEO of Harvest Operations in January 2012 and joined Harvest's Board of Directors in November 2010. Prior to joining Harvest's management team, he was Executive Vice President for the Americas Group of KNOC, as well as President of ANKOR E&P Holdings Corporation in the USA. Mr. Yi has 23 years of experience at KNOC and has worked in Domestic Continental  Shelf Development, the OVerseas E&P Department and the Ulsan BRanch of the Petroleum Stockpile Department. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering at Seoul National University and Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering in Hanyang University.

CHANG-KOO KANG, Chief Financial Officer. DIRECTOR

Mr. Kang is a corporate financial specialist and currently the Chief Financial Officer at Harvest. Prior thereto, he was the Vice President of KNOC's Finance Management Department and he held the position of Finance Team Senior Manager at KNOC. Mr. Kang has worked on financings for the merger and acquisition of PetroTech Peruana S.A., Peru, Harvest Operations Corp. and Sumble JSC, Kazakhstan. He holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting from the Pusan National University and graduated with an MBA from Sogang Business School, Sogang University, Korea.  

 

Leslie G. Hogan, Chief operating Officer

Mr. Hogan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mount Allison University and has over 25 years of progressive experience in the oil and gas industry.

Mr. Hogan was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Harvest Operations in November 2012. Prior to this role, he was Harvest’s Vice President, Land and has been with the company since 2007.
 
Before joining Harvest, Mr. Hogan held the position of Vice President Land and Community Affairs of Pioneer Natural Resources Canada from 2002 until the Canadian Division (Corporate) was sold to TAQA North Ltd. in November 2007.  He was also Senior Landman with Anderson Exploration Ltd/Devon Canada Corporation since 1999 and has held positions with Norcen Energy Resources Limited from 1981 to 1998, where he served as Chief International/Canadian Negotiator. He was also the Division Land Manager, BC and the Senior Negotiating Landman for an area in Alberta for over one year with Blue Range Resource Corporation/Big Bear Exploration Ltd.  

yongseok kim, deputy chief operating officer

Mr. Yongseok(YS) Kim was appointed Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Harvest Operations in November 2012 and prior thereto, held the position of General Manager, Operations Excellence Team from March 2012. Before joining Harvest, he had over 20 years of upstream oil and gas experience gained in the USA (Houston and New Orleans), Scotland (Aberdeen) and Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) and has held senior positions in KNOC and its subsidiaries, including the position of VP Engineering at Ankor USA. Mr. Kim holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Inha University in Korea.

Jongwoo Kim, Chief strategy officer and Corporate Secretary

Mr. Kim holds a Master of Science in Finance graduate degree from the Daniel's College of Business, University of Denver. He has recently been appointed the Chief Strategy Officer and Corporate Secretary for Harvest following the completion of the plan of arrangement between Harvest and KNOC on December 22, 2009. Prior to this, Mr. Kim held various positions at the Korea National Oil Corporation over a 17 year period. His previous role with KNOC as Merger and Acquisition Team Leader, New Ventures Department made him instrumental in the successful plan of arrangement between Harvest and KNOC. 

Patrick an, Vice President, BLACKGOLD

Mr. An has over 20 years experience in project management, engineering execution of Oil & Gas facilities development projects and operations of the oil & gas production assets including interfacing with commercial, sub-surface, operations groups, liasions with partner and third party operating companies, government regulators and Legislative bodies. Prior to joining Harvest he was Senior Manager of Production Assets in the Middle East & CIS from 2009 to 2011 and BlackGold project from 2007 to 2008 in KNOC. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.

 

gary boukall, vice president, geosciences

Mr. Boukall is a Professional Geologist, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree (1976) from the University of Calgary. He has held the position of Vice President, Geosciences of Harvest since March 16, 2007, and prior thereto held various senior positions with Harvest from December 2002 to March 2007 including Chief Geologist, Manager of Geology and Manager of Geosciences. Prior to joining Harvest, Mr. Boukall was a Lead Geologist at Burlington Resources Ltd where he was employed from 1987 to 2001.

Phil Reist, Vice President, Controller

Mr. Reist is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BCom degree from the University of Alberta.  Mr. Reist was previously the Controller of Harvest from the February 2006 merger of Harvest and Viking Energy Royalty Trust until he was appointed Vice President, Controller of Harvest on March 16, 2007.   Previously, he served as the Controller of Viking from September 12, 2005, and was the Vice President, Controller of PennWest Petroleum Ltd. from March 2004 to June 2005.  Prior thereto, Mr. Reist was Vice President, Finance and Controller of Petrovera Resources and had previously held accounting related positions of increasing responsibility with Gulf Canada Resources Limited. 

 

doug reynolds,  vice president, land

Mr. Reynolds holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Calgary and has over 33 years of progressive experience in the oil and gas industry.
 
Mr. Reynolds was appointed Vice President, Land in November 2012 and prior thereto, held the position of Manager, Land Negotiations from April 2011. Before joining Harvest, he held various senior level managerial positions, including President of his own land consulting company from October 2010 to March 2011 and from October 1997 to September 1998. Mr. Reynolds was also Founder, President & CEO and Board Member of his own private oil and gas company, Northern Hunter Energy Inc. from September 2006 to April 2010. From April 2002 to August 2006, Mr. Reynolds was the Vice President Land and New Ventures for Vermilion Energy Trust, working as their lead negotiator in International and Western Canadian business dealings. Previous company work experience (1979-2002) involved Senior Landman, Area Land Manager, Land Manager or Land Consultant with such companies as Burlington Resources Canada Ltd., ExxonMobil Corp., KOCH Oil Company, ELAN Energy Inc.(formerly LASMO Canada Inc), ICG Resources Ltd. and Norcen Energy Resources Ltd.
 
In 1989 Mr. Reynolds obtained his Professional Landman designation and is also a member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen and the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators.

 

richard suffron, vice president, operations

Mr. Suffron is a professional Engineer with a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta (1986). His experience and responsibilities have included completions and workovers, drilling, facility construction and field operations.
 
Mr. Suffron joined Harvest Operations in 2007 as the Production Engineering Manager. Prior thereto, he held senior management and executive positions with PrimeWest Energy, including Southern Area Engineering Manager, Northern Business Unit Manager and Engineering Operations Manager, and Cork Exploration, where he was the Vice President of Operations.
 
 
 

grant ukrainetz, vice president, treasurer

Mr. Ukrainetz joined Harvest as Treasurer in August 2012. He is a chartered accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan. He brings over 20 years of experience within the areas of corporate finance, strategic planning, treasury & banking, risk management, investor relations and financial reporting. Prior to joining Harvest, he served as Treasurer, then Vice President Corporate Development with a junior oil sands company from 2006 to 2012. Prior thereto, Mr. Ukrainetz held progressively senior finance related positions with a senior Canadian producer from 2001 to 2006 and a multi-national oil company from 1994 to 2001. He has also worked in the corporate banking division of a Canadian financial institution and for a public accounting firm.   

 

doug walker, vice president, engineering

Mr. Walker has over 30 years of technical and business experience in operations, production, facilities, completions, drilling, reservoir engineering, business development and frontier projects.
 
He joined Harvest in August 2010 and, prior to his promotion to VP, Engineering in October, 2012, held the position of Area Manager, Peace River Arch and SE Saskatchewan.
 
Mr. Walker’s prior industry experience includes technical, business and senior management positions with Provident Energy, Noise Solutions, Stellarton Energy, Jordan Petroleum and Gulf Canada Resources.
 
Mr. Walker has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA.
